7 SEO Tools To Boost Your Blog Organic Online Visibility

You would think that after a certain amount of time marketers would get the basics of SEO down and only make the bigger mistakes.
The truth is that most blunders are incredibly common ones that these marketers merely forget in the moment.
SEO has been evolving for years now and 2019 SEO trends show that it has gone an incredibly long way. Yet, most businesses are still struggling to keep up.
Here are seven tools to help you catch and fix basic SEO mistakes preventing your site from ranking higher:
1. Screaming Frog (Freemium)
Do you want to analyze any website for key SEO insights? Maybe you are interested in what your competitors are doing right with their strategy?
The Screaming Frog website crawler is a great little bot to find out that information. It is also a great auditing tool for your own website, as it provides pretty extensive information for you to use.
The basic crawler is free, though you can purchase additional features by getting their license for under $200 per year.
2. Cyfe (Freemium)
A multi-feature business management dashboard, Cyfe is a great SEO monitoring solution too. Import your most essential stats from Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Moz, SERPs and many others
The best thing about Cyfe is that it’s highly customizable: You can set it to track almost anything under the sun. It has pre-built widgets and you can create custom widgets too.
3. Found. (Free)
Found. is a great (and free) tool that looks through these common mistakes and alerts you before they hurt your site’s ranking. You just put in your domain and it will do the rest.
Don’t take those numbers too seriously. But do use the site to quickly spot most crucial and basic SEO mistakes and fix them right away. The fact it’s free makes it even more appealing.
4. Yoast (Freemium)
I am a huge fan of Yoast and you have almost certainly at least heard of them in the past. This plugin for WordPress guides you along the way to SEO excellence . You put in a focus keyword, write a meta description, put the focus keyword in the bulk text and let the plugin analyze your density.
It will give you recommendations to further strengthen your SEO in the post, turning green when you have reached the minimum for Google benefits.
There are quite a few other SEO plugins you want to install. Here’s an exhaustive list .
5. Ubersuggest (Free)
Neil Patel released Ubersuggest not too long ago and I have been using it obsessively ever since.
It works by taking your keywords and giving you information on that and all similar phrases that you might want to use as well/instead.
Ubersuggest shows basic but important numbers next to every keyword including search volume, CPC, competition, etc. You can use filters to narrow keyword lists down by a base word. You can also export your keywords to CSV.
6. SISTRIX (Free Trial)
An awesome toolbar, I use SISTRIX almost as much as Ubersuggest. It basically shows you SEO info on any domain.
As you can guess, it is a big help when it comes to competitor research. You can also use it for your own website, so you can make sure your SEO is up to scratch.
I use Sistrix as it is tried, true and easy to use. You get your code and put it into your page… it is that easy. No coding needed on your part, just a simple copy/paste.
There are more multi-purpose SEO tools and platforms to choose from.
7. TechnicalSEO SERP Simulator (Free)
TechnicalSEO has a SERP simulator, but sadly it hasn’t been updated since Google started allowing longer snippets. But it can still be helpful to get a general idea of snippets you are planning or currently using.
Are there any other tools you are using for basic but essential SEO tasks? Please share them in the comments below! I love discovering more tools and playing with them, especially when there’s a free option or at least a free trial.
