Effectiveness of Digital Marketing over Traditional Marketing

Every business bodies undergoing advertising and promotional activities for creating brand image among competitive market scenario. Thus, marketing plays an important role in creating vast opportunities for brand expansion and recognition with gradual impact over sales revenue generation. In this context, we are experiencing both approaches of marketing strategies as well as tactics and those are classified into Traditional Marketing and Digital Marketing. Therefore, this article tries to shed light over basic understanding over these two types of approaches and their aspects with a viewpoint on how well they are effective over one another.

Traditional marketing involves various tangible items like business cards, print media, newspaper, hoardings. Thus, it reflects marketing techniques that utilize various approaches other than digital media. In traditional marketing, approaches involves one on one interaction and create a rapport for various business leads. In order to maintain customer loyalty, client servicing is very crucial to achieve the same.

Whereas digital marketing involves online media platform to establish branding and promotion for the business rather one on one interaction. Various social media platform plays an important role in achieving various marketing targets based on the business requirements. Some of these social media sites are, Facebook, Twitter, Google, Linked IN, Google+ etc. Thus, a digital marketer plays an important role in planning proper implementation of social media platform based on objective.

People are usually fond of noticing magazines, billboards or newspaper and thus a marketing individual trying to focus on the same. Traditional marketing also provide a grip over maintaining rapport with the prospective clients.

However, in traditional marketing the fact that involves for all the marketers are having contacts and it is difficult to reach wide range of customers. Traditional marketing do have a limitation in targeting customers and thus it is impossible to reach or generating maximum contacts.

Whereas, digital marketing do provide wide range of marketing activities through various online platform. The main advantages of digital marketing over traditional marketing is having better reach of customers and social media platforms plays an important role in this context. Additionally, online marketing has an advantage to target wide range of customers based on interest, location or country. However, in digital marketing, while developing content or creating campaigns it is essential to maintain accuracy since it is viral. Thus, any irrelevant topics or approaches may proves to be crucial.

From the above discussion it is clear about the fact that both the marketing has its own domain and expertise but somehow digital platform has an upper hand. The reason behind such selection are the noticeable advantages that traditional marketing don’t provide and these are as follows

Lastly, it can be conclude that effective digital marketing approach provide better grip over advertising and branding activities that helps to generate more leads, create opportunities thus generating sales revenue. All this actions results in better brand establishment, recognition and in turn result in successful business expansion.
